Check out some behind the scenes footage of recording artist Principe El Notorio’s studio session recently. The song is called ‘Wild Cowboy’.
My heart broke the morning of December 22nd 2015 when I learned that you had passed away.
I wish I had a little more time with you.
Your birthday is January 1st. I wish you could’ve made it to see 65.
I hope you know that I love you unconditionally.
I will continue to do right by “the babies” by working hard to provide gifts for them on Christmas and Turkeys on Thanksgiving.
You were a bright light that shined in even the darkest conditions.
You had the biggest heart and the kindest soul.
It sucks that people took advantage of that.
But now you’re gone and you don’t have to worry about the pain, the stress, and negativity.
I know you’re in a better place with the rest of the family.
Tell Pop-Pop and Grand Aunt Lois that Ashley J loves them too.
Tell your son and daughter that I wish I would’ve met them.
My mom is holding on and handling everything better than me.
I’m a wreck.
I wish I was able to show you the logo I was working on for your consulting company.
I just wanna call you and listen to you.
I wanna hear you sing out of tune to a Mary J Blige song or even a Beyonce song.
I just wish you were still here.
Rest in Peace Nana.
I love you so much.
The first time I went to a bar, I was nervous and overwhelmed. Not because of the people, which usually makes me nervous (intro/omnivert, represent!) but because everyone was drinking drinks and I had no idea what they were called.
When the bartender asked me what I wanted, time stood still and I just randomly said “Rum & Coke.”
Fast-forward to Saturday when I was introduced to the owners of Cuba Libre USA’s genius drink of Rum & Cola in a can. It took me back to when I used to bar hop with friends and order the same drink over and over because at one point, it was all I knew.
Laughs were had. I showed them my website, they liked it.
We exchanged information and they sent me home with a case of their product. What a Saturday!
Funny things happen on Saturday nights. I decided to take my camera out last night and just randomly take pictures.
I stumbled into an event by Tanya Wright for her new book “I Found God In My Hair.”
Thankfully she allowed me to snap photographs of the event and she even signed a copy of the book for me! I obviously was honored and appreciative.
You may have seen Tanya on shows like True Blood and Orange is the New Black, but you should check out her new series “Hairiette” which showcases her natural hair care product line.
I’ll have more pictures of the event this week, so stay tuned!
So I’ve upgraded from an iPhone 5 to the iPhone 6S due to ridiculous battery issues, otherwise I would’ve held out longer. I’m not mad at the upgrade as the newer phone has a way better camera. It is 12 megapixels, it takes 4k video and apparently when you take a picture, it records for a few seconds giving you a live picture with motion.
Dope right? Try it out at your nearest apple store and that alone will probably be your deciding factor.
So I took my new rose gold iPhone 6S out to snap some shots of Harlem. Check out some of the original unedited photos along with the same photos retouched in Adobe Photoshop.
